Soft tissue surgery

Soft tissue surgery include routine surgeries like overiohysterectomy (spay) and castration (neuter), as well as cutaneous and subcutaneous tumor removal and biopsy, abdominal exploratory surgery, splenectomy (spleen removal), gastrointestinal surgery (e.g. foreign body removal ) etc.
Our  pre-operative evaluation includes a full physical exam, blood tests  (e.g. complete blood count, clotting times and biochemistry panel). In older animals, or animals with heart conditions a chest x-ray will be done as well.
While under general anesthesia all patients are monitored  by a licensed veterinary technician and electronic monitoring equipment (ECG, capnograph, pulse oximeter).
Pain management is a part of our pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative anesthetic and medical protocol.
